Current Plant Material for Sale

The Clean Plant Center Northwest is proud to offer a variety of virus tested fruit trees, grapevines and hops to our valued customers. Funding to support the CPCNW activities is generated through sales, proprietary user fees, nursery sales taxes, grants and donations. Our prices reflect the high cost of establishing and maintaining clean plant material in screenhouses and foundation plantings.

Order Priority System

When demand exceeds supply, the CPCNW plant materials are allocated among customers who order before the deadline. Propagation materials that remain after the allocation deadline are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Part of the CPCNW mission is to ensure fair and equitable allocation of plant materials to its prioritized customers, as supplies are limited. Customers that are not participants in their state nursery certification programs may receive very little or no plant material regardless of the date ordered.

In times of supply limitation priority for customers who submit orders on time will be filled in the following order:

  1. Idaho, Oregon and Washington nursery participants in their respective state nursery certification programs,
  2. University and Federal Research programs,
  3. Non-certified nurseries,
  4. Individual growers within the states of Idaho, Oregon and Washington, and
  5. Customers located outside the Pacific Northwest and USA

Additional Charges

For orders picked up at the CPCNW facility, there will be no shipping fees charged. For all orders, the final invoice will include:

  • 10% handling and packaging fee for domestic shipments
  • $1,000 handling and packaging fee for international shipments
  • 3% administrative charge for all shipments (starting January 1, 2018)
  • Actual shipping cost
  • Phytosanitary certificate (if relevant) $175 per order shipped in the US and $200 per order shipped internationally

Cancellation and Change Orders

Cancellation and change orders are accepted prior to the collection of plant material. Once material has been collected for an order, cancellations and quantity reductions will be accepted only if another buyer is available for the cancelled quantity. Requests to increase quantity of ordered materials are subject to availability.

Effective April 1st 2018, the Clean Plant Center Northwest will no longer ship propagative plant material internationally.

We have made every effort over the decades to insure access to our collection for the international community. Recently, there have been dramatic changes in the management of phytosanitary requirements for exports to the majority of countries around the world. The time, effort, and cost involved in ensuring that every shipment is in compliance with the receiving countries phytosanitary regime is becoming increasingly prohibitive.

As a result, we have changed our sales policies to limit our shipments to destinations within the U.S. and Canada, with the following exceptions:

  1. Long-standing customers in specific countries will still have access.
  2. International sponsors will be able to access their material, although we will not ship to third parties outside of the U.S. & Canada.
  3. All phytosanitary requirements can be meet in-house.
  4. Import permit and additional declarations in English must be sent to the CPCNW Business Manager three (3) months prior to the end of the sale request period. Import permits and additional declarations sent less than three (3) months prior to the end of the sale request period will be accepted at the discretion of the CPCNW Director.
